Your bedtime reading is either regulatory updates or the latest management techniques.
Engaging, positive and nurturing you will lead this team with your enthusiasm for doing the job properly. You demand high standards and are direct and clear on how this is achieved and how you expect things to be done. Yet you will be approachable and adaptable to the pressures of day to day operations.
You will be the CQC registered manager. You will be responsible for the delivery of all the clinical services and ensure these are fully compliant with current regulations. You’ll know that these regulations change, a lot, and as such will be proactive in updating systems and procedures and ensure the whole team are aware of such changes. Indeed, change will be something you embrace and often use it as a tool to keep things current and engaging.
Customer facing will be very prominent in this role. You will therefore have strong customer service skills and can communicate effectively at all levels with ease. You will be required to explain complex and occasional difficult subject matter to people and you will be able to do this with the ambition of achieving positive outcomes or at the very least managing expectations.
The delivery of the clinical services is the business activity, you will understand this and that there is a commercial element to these activities. While patient care and experience is both paramount and fundamental to this role, you will acknowledge the practice must also be commercially astute.
